I Scream Smoothie
Nutritionally speaking, a fruit smoothie is not a healthier option than drinking an ice cream shake. Fruit smoothies are full of fructose, but do not have enough healthy fats to slow down the absorption of all that sugar.
Fructose = Sugar
Admit it, you would rather drink an ice cream shake. I certainly would, but without the sugar, please. Thus was born, the I Scream Smoothie. When you really want a decadent beverage, make sure it has enough healthy fat included. While your at it, load the smoothie with real protein, not an artificial soy based powder, so it truly becomes a nutritious treat.
