The Food Foundation winter detox is specifically written for eliminating the holiday toxins, reducing symptoms and hence losing weight post December gluttony. It is a very basic elimination diet, but we don't like to use the word diet. The point is not to starve yourself, to take away comfort foods, or make you feel like you are without. The idea behind the winter detox is to remove the processed foods that stress the liver and cause it to put on fat, spike our blood sugar, wreck havoc on our hormones and cause the symptoms of disease.

You will decide what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat based on how hungry you are. I will provide the list of foods that allow your body to detox naturally. In winter their are a few recommendations to help the body remain seasonally adjusted. This is based on the idea that you live in a climate that changes drastically in winter time.

Every day for the 28 days I will send you an e-mail with tips to succeed, some of the science behind my detox, and recipes that have been tested on my own two picky kids. You will gain a better understanding of the physical sensation food is having on your digestive system and how that relates to every other system in the body.  We are what we eat.

Grab a friend to detox with and join our Food Foundation Detox Facebook community page for support and recipe ideas. The Food Foundation Winter Detox begins Monday January 5, 2015. For just $1 a day, $28, you will receive an entire month of support, inspiration, and delicious recipes.

New, for the first time this detox, you will also be invited to a weekly meeting at my home. We will check in, enjoy some detox friendly snacks, and share our successes and failures. A conference call option will be available to those that cannot join in person.
